Envoy Fiber

Installation and field services

Installation, coordinated and verified.

Envoy coordinates site surveys, equipment, qualified technicians and acceptance evidence—so a completed installation is a documented outcome, not a status update.

Physical completion and provider activation are tracked separately because they are different events.

The installation lifecycle.

Every handoff has an owner, a record and a next action.

  1. Intake

Identify the source, contracting party, requested service and required completion.

  2. Scope validation

Verify the location, work type, provider authorization and technical prerequisites.

  3. Site readiness

Confirm access, equipment, power, safety and any permitting conditions.

  4. Estimate and approval

Calculate labor, materials, travel, risks and permitted charges.

  5. Dispatch

Assign a qualified, available technician or crew.

  6. Pre-visit

Confirm the appointment, equipment, instructions and customer expectations.

  7. On-site work

Verify identity, scope and site conditions, then perform authorized tasks.

  8. Testing

    Record technical measurements and results.

  9. Acceptance

Complete the walkthrough and obtain required acknowledgment.

  10. Independent QA

Review the evidence and resolve exceptions.

  11. Closeout

Resolve punch items and reconcile equipment.

  12. Settlement

Release eligible invoicing and contractor compensation.

Qualified people, matched to the work.

A nearby technician is not automatically an eligible technician.

Evidence at every handoff.

  • Work order

The authorized scope, site, equipment and exclusions the technician is expected to deliver.

  • Execution record

Arrival, timestamps, checklists, photos and any change order.

  • Test results

Signal, connectivity, speed, coverage and device measurements where applicable.

  • Customer acceptance

The walkthrough, acknowledgment and any open punch items.

  • Independent QA

A separate review of the evidence before completion is accepted.

  • Settlement record

The eligible invoice, cost and payment tied to the accepted work.

Installation is not activation.

The technician’s physical completion and the provider’s network activation are separate events. Envoy tracks both and does not report one as the other.

A completed visit does not prove service is active, and an active service does not prove the installation was accepted.

Make the completion verifiable.

Scope the work, qualify the people and record the evidence before settlement.
